Your reaction is probably the same as mine, and practically everyone else in the trade. Why, after splashing out close to twenty quid for a bottle of wine made from the finest grapes, one of the most prestigious styles of wine man can buy, would you dilute it with frozen water? Water that then melts.
Hi, i read an article in the metro newspaper about piper mini champagne bottles. i currently manage a restaurant and i am very interested in this whole idea of the champagne in tumblers and drinking out the bottle with straws! i would like to get some information of who supplies them how much they are and are their any other different types that they do, like rose? i want to promote these this summer so if anyone could get back to me that would be great! thank you.

We were recently presented with a single bottle of piper heideisieck, slightly sweet, definately not brut champagne.
we found it absolutely superb but the presenter could not inform us where she purchased it from and we lost the label in attempting to remove it… despite many tries and searches we are unable to source a case. Would be gratefull for any ideas .
Malcolm – I wonder if it is Piper Heidsieck Cuvée Sublime Demi-Sec NV that you are referring to? Off-dry and available for about £28 I think.
