To be opened by celebrity chef Gary Rhodes (who now has two restaurants in Christchurch) the 10th Christchurch Food and Wine Festival in Dorset runs from 8-17 May 2009.
The weekend of 9-10 May will offer a programme of cookery demonstrations by Gary Rhodes, Lesley Waters the Tanner Brothers and local chefs from The Kings Hotel, Christchurch Harbour Hotel, The Old Vicarage, The Rising Sun, The Tempest, The Captain’s Club, Splinters and The Crooked Beam.
The International Food Market takes place in the pedestrianised High Street on Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May. New for this year will be “Flavours of Italy” in the cobbled area of Church Street – an authentic Italian Piazza with stalls selling quality Italian food and wine.

V disappointed with Italian market, no pasta, no parma ham, no porcini mushrooms. Also no veg stalls and no free range chickens.
