On Thursday 7 May 2009 Noel Young Wines of Cambridge are hosting a tutored tasting by Bruce Tyrell from Tyrell’s winery in southern Australia (folowing his earlier tasting in North Yorkshire on 5 May 2009)
Tyrrell’s are one of the oldest and best wineries in Australia. They celebrated their 150th anniversary last year. The legendary Vat wines from the Hunter – Vat 8 Shiraz, Vat 1 Semillon, Vat 47 Chardonnay, these wines, have won and still win countless trophies. Also the newly released flagship wine Double Barrel, the fabulous Rufus Stone Heathcote Shiraz and others. Bruce is hugely knowledgeable and a very entertaining speaker, so this should be an excellent evening.
The Hunter Valley in New South Wales is featured. so it is a great opportunity to learn more about this region and its wines – remembering that Australia is a very diverse wine producer with many quality and innovative wines on offer.
