Matt and Marc at Planet of the Grapes are holding their first blind wine tasting competition. Next Tuesday the 13th of February will see the duo serve 8 wines blind – you have to answer 5 questions on each -
1. New world or old world?
2. Country?
3. Grape?
4. Vintage?
5. Price?
The person with the highest score will win some lovely wine and the inaugural “POTG Wine-lover trophy” Blind wine tastings are fun, as long as you don’t take it too seriously. It is amazing though what clues you rely on when tasting a wine – the bottle shape for example. Removing all such references makes blind wine tasting a real challenge but you do get better with practice!
Tickets are £40 per person so why come and put your money where your mouth is – and no, we’re not taking part!
