Australian winemaker Paul Limpus of Paxton Wines in McLaren Vale will be tutoring a tasting of these biodynamic wines with Fareham Wine Cellar on 5 February 2009 (£30):
Paxton Vineyards has been in operation for 4 decades and is now one of the most respected wineries in the McLaren Vale. All of Paxton’s vineyards have been managed as biodynamic since 2005. Paxton vineyards are also a member of ‘1% for the planet’ – a growing global movement of companies that donate 1% of their sales to a network of environmental organisations world wide!
The format of the evening will be a pre-dinner tasting of 5 Paxton wines available in the UK with commentary from Paul Limpus. There will then be a three course dinner with a Paxton wine matched to the first two courses and a dessert wine of our choice to go with the pudding (because Paxton don’t export a dessert wine yet!).
