The Association of Small Direct Wine Merchants is holding a tasting at Canons Ashby House, Northamptonshire on Sunday 9th September 2007 from 11am to 4pm, in a marquee in the grounds.
No confirmed details of which members of the association are show-casing their range but ‘A number’ are likely to be present.
Canon’s Ashby House is a tranquil Elizabethan manor house set in beautiful gardens. It has an impressive collection of wall paintings and Jacobean plasterwork, and the kitchen and dairy offer an intimate view of life ‘below stairs’. It also has colourful formal gardens, an old orchard and sweeping parkland, plus St Mary’s Church and the remains of an Augustinian priory.
If you are interested in attending this Wine Fair, you can find out more from the National Trust on 01327 860044 or visit the ASDW website at www.asdw.co.uk. Please note that an admission charge applies to both the property and the Wine Fair for non-National Trust members; members get in free.

Shame no details of exhibitors or wines, as otherwise would have given a mention to any good interesting french wines on http://www.frenchduck.co.uk
