Those clever people at the Flying Corkscrew have come up with a clever idea – a do-it-yourself wine tasting kit – you just supply the glasses and a few friends, they supply 12 different varietal wines, tips on wine tasting, background information on each grape variety and tasting sheets for up to 14 people.
This week we are launching our new DIY Wine Tasting Kit, a perfect present for an enthusiastic relative or friend, or as a unique evening’s entertainment for this autumn’s dinner party season.
Be sure to invite plenty of friends though, as even with 12 people you would potentially be drinking a bottle of wine each – and if you want to take this half-way seriously, then 12 wines is a lot to sample (even if you do see, swirl, sniff and finally spit) – you could always spread it over 2 evenings – and spend a little more time on each wine to taste, compare and come up with bizarre trigger words!
